The cobwebs are texture. I go out at night and shoot cobwebs with a flash and some side lighting. Normal night photography considerations apply.
That lower right predominate one was actually in my garage…much larger in scale. It was about 8 to 10 feet in length. I’ve been letting it grow all summer. No kidding. It was across the ceiling and broke loose…at which, I had to shoot it and remove it.
That reminds me I saw a great one in the yard yesterday…Gotta get me cam.

Cthulu awaits is right. This trailer showed at the annual Lovecraft film festival in Portland a few years back. Great festival… http://www.hplfilmfestival.com/
Making an H.P. Lovecraft sea monster would be a blast… But it will need to wait for me to finish a medley of Poe shorts and poems.
